Northwest Center Is Looking for Our Next Maintenance Manager!
We are Integrated Facilities Services (IFS), a world-class janitorial and building services operation and part of Northwest Center, a nonprofit dedicated to advocating for people with disabilities and advancing equal opportunities in education and employment.
We are seeking a candidate who will be overseeing multiple sites within the Seattle Area. In this position, you will be asked to delegate and fulfill work orders while meeting and exceeding service expectations.
Responsibilities for the role include hands-on maintenance and monitoring of building systems and a range of other responsibilities, such as repairing flooring, drywall, and appliances. If you want to work with a great group of people at an organization
Schedule: Full-Time Monday-Friday
Wage: $33.65

Responsibilities:
- Maintain employee work schedules, including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations, paid time off, telecommuting, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling.
- Overseeing the support of the entirety of a contract to include; ensuring we are meeting service level agreements, maintaining project plans, setting the scope, creating timetables, monitoring progress, and ensuring best practices are being practices on all building systems.
- Build and cultivate strong relationships with all divisions within the contract and notify Northwest Center Leadership if there are any
- Monitor Facility remedy ticket queues.
- Make sure all new tickets are addressed daily and re-assign tickets out of the general facility queue.
- Work with Property Management to keep track of ongoing issues and the status of work orders.
- Demonstrated skills in supervisory management, knowledge, and application of good personnel practices; experience in successfully resolving complex personnel issues.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with persons from various economic and cultural backgrounds.
- Leading your team with a bias toward positive motivation for subordinates and co-workers.
Requirements:
- 3 years experience working as a supervisor in the facilities industry
- 5 Years experience in HANDS-ON facility maintenance or building trades
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office products, including Outlook)
- Team player that can work effectively and diplomatically with site personnel and supervisors
- Working knowledge of building and mechanical systems
- Knowledge and experience working with a variety of power and hand tools
- Possess the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Expert-level understanding of carpentry, cabinetry, painting, and drywall
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a highly active role
