Northwest Christian High School (NCHS) is now accepting applications for Activities Director for the 2024-25 school year.

Northwest Christian High School offers 9th - 12th grade on the beautiful 14-acre campus as part of Northwest Christian Schools of Lacey (NCS)

Our three schools are:

  • Northwest Christian Preschool: Preschool - Pre-K
  • Northwest Christian Academy: Kindergarten - 8th grade
  • Northwest Christian High School: 9th - 12th grade

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum

  • 2 years successful office or administrative setting
  • Christian faith in Jesus Christ

Preferred

  • Experience working with students in a school setting

JOB DESCRIPTION

The employee shall:

  • Conduct their life in a manner which demonstrates spiritual maturity, reflects the purpose and values of the school, and is consistent with the school doctrinal statement (Statement of Faith)
  • Have a doctrinal statement compatible with the school’s doctrinal statement

RESPONSIBILITIES*

Spiritual:

  • Seeks to model in speech, actions, and attitude, a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ
  • Demonstrates the importance of prayer, Scripture memorization, personal Bible study, witnessing, and unity in Christian fellowship
  • Follows the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with students, parents, administration and staff

General/Administrative:

  • Coordinate student activities and events throughout the school year, including dances, spirit assemblies, the annual Back-to-School Bash etc.
  • Teach Leadership Class for one period daily, mobilizing the students to execute activities and events and provide instruction on principles of effective leadership
  • Maintain regular and accurate attendance and grade records commensurate to each student’s progress in Leadership Class
  • Oversee Student Government and execute the annual election process
  • Maintain events and activities on the school calendar, as well as internal calendars
  • Approve event requests that are submitted
  • Program the bell schedule when appropriate
  • Attend monthly staff meetings to report NCHS Events and Activities
  • Provide monthly email communication to staff and faculty regarding activities
  • Provide clerical assistance in the school office, including answering phones, and welcoming visitors when appropriate
  • Oversee the graduation ceremony, steer the graduation committee for graduation reception, facilitate graduation slideshow, and keep students and families on track
  • Support Principal in events throughout the school year, including teacher appreciation week, the annual open house, and the 8th grade shadow day
  • Assist class advisor teacher’s as necessary and take the lead on class sponsored events
  • Promote events by working with the NCS Media Assistant for the school’s NCHS Instagram and Facebook.
  • Coordinate with the Athletic Director for scheduling events
  • Secure volunteers for events when needed
  • Coordinate school picture day and picture retake day
  • Monitor the ASB budget and work with students to hold fundraising activities
  • Assist in planning short-term mission trips every other school year

* May be amended as deemed appropriate by school administration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
