JOB DESCRIPTION

Program: Early Learning Resource Center

Job Title: ELRC Family Services Supervisor

Reports to: ELRC Family Services Manager

Status: Full-Time / Exempt

Job Summary: The ELRC Family Services Supervisor will be responsible to support the efforts of the ELRC Family Services Manager in providing oversight to the ELRC Family Specialists through the monitoring and verification of family enrollment for those children enrolled in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Child Care Works (CCW) program.

Hybrid Office: Home Headquartered & Hub Office as needed. _ (Hub Office located in Du Bois, PA 15081)_

Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the communication of eligibility guidelines to Family Specialists.
  • Ensure compliance with DHS/OCDEL regulations for subsidized child care policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the support and supervisions of Infant Toddles Family Specialists to ensure compliance with the Infant / Toddler Contracted Slots program.
  • Ensure that all alerts/inboxes in PELICAN CCW have been properly processed by Family Specialists within the timeframes established by OCDEL.
  • Assist in the supervision of Family Specialists, to ensure deadlines for applications and redeterminations of families' eligibility are completed in a timely manner and that all items on the annual OCDEL Monitoring Tool are successfully achieved.
  • Ensure personal interviews are conducted professionally and confidentially.
  • Work with Family Specialists on challenging cases.
  • Organize and track deadlines for applications and redeterminations
  • Work collaboratively with the Director, Assistant Director, and Family Specialist Manager, to manage the subsidized child care waiting list.
  • Support Eligibility Specialists to ensure child care referrals are provided to parents who request them, within 48 hours.
  • Assist in the training and support new Family Specialists as hired, ensuring they are fully trained within 60 days of hire.
  • Serve as back-up to the Family Services Manager as a Help Desk liaison.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Strong human resource management skills.

· Strong customer service skills.

· Ability to communicate effectively and work productively and collaboratively with employees, government agencies, service providers, program participants, human service organizations, educational institutions and other key partners in a positive, professional, and pleasant manner in writing, by phone and in personal contacts

· Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity in all working relationships

· Ability to organize, prioritize and establish schedules to accomplish program goals and evaluate the delivery of service and program objectives

· Ability to provide management with timely and accurate reports and recommendations

· Ability to maintain complete, accurate and accessible files and records

· Working knowledge of personal computers and networked systems and their use and application for database management, tracking and reporting in a human services or similar environment

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and Publisher components

· Ability to plan, organize and carry out assignments and responsibilities on time, correctly, in a professional, effective, efficient and independent manner

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services, Social Work, Administration or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum two years’ experience managing and supervising in a social service industry.

Other Requirements:

· This position includes the normal physical demands associated with work in an office environment, including lifting, bending and carrying; and travel to other facilities within the region.

· This position requires availability and flexibility to participate in services, programs and activities during regularly scheduled workdays, evenings and weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
