Summary: The Director of Operations provides leadership and oversight for clinic operations at all NWMS locations. This position is responsible for providing direction and management of day-to-day operations and is administratively responsible for various departments as assigned by the COO/CEO. This position represents the clinics in organizational projects, committees and initiatives and is responsible for implementing strategic and financial goals. In partnership with the executive leadership, this position is responsible for setting expectations in the areas of quality, service access, utilization, finance, productivity, and operational excellence. This position provides the management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide day-to-day management of the operations at NWMS with its mission and core values at the forefront.
  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of NWMS.
  • Optimize services to achieve the highest levels of patient satisfaction and successfully manages the organizational benchmarks in the areas of quality, utilization, service/access, and financial performance.
  • Motivate and help lead a high-performance management team; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to management career development and assist in the professional growth of all staff.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of new and existing clinic sites while meeting organizational strategic and financial goals.
  • Effectively share information on guidelines and processes for quality improvement.
  • Responsible for strategic and operational oversight of all initiatives/projects as directed by the COO/CEO.
  • Ensure appropriate training and coaching is carried out in support of business and healthcare standards.
  • Analyze patient complaint trends for the practice and work with the management team to develop and implement appropriate resolutions.
  • Champion change and embrace new and innovative approaches to the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Create a positive, professional environment that fosters strong team member engagement and support.
  • Responsible for business licenses, all regulatory compliance for operations and other documents relating to Local, State, and federal requirements.
  • Ensure development and establishment of policies and procedures and their adequate execution, compliance, and update as needed.
  • Implement and execute strategic plans as approved by the Board of Directors and in collaboration with COO/CEO.
  • Provide advanced analytics to executive leadership and management to aid in strategic company decisions and department planning.
  • Collaborate with the management and executive team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the organization.
  • Enthusiastically embrace NWMS’s mission, vision, and values. Contribute as a member of the NWMS leadership team in the development of a shared vision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does have supervisory responsibilities. The Director of Operations will oversee and supervise all assigned departments.

Education and Experience:

  • Advanced degree in Health Care and/or Administration or Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive organizational leadership experience.
  • Must have a strong ability to lead teams and maintain positive professional relationships. Strong working knowledge of clinic operations, physician group practices, financial management, cost analysis, information systems. Broad knowledge of the trends in health care and their implications.
  • Previous experience in oncology preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
