Certified Veterinary Technician or Experienced Assistant

We are looking a licensed technician or an experienced assistant with 2 or more years of experienced. This is a full time position, and will be benefit eligible: health insurance, dental insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, personal pet care plan and the ability to participate in our 401K plan.

Well-qualified candidates will be able to demonstrate solid interpersonal skill, dependability, be team oriented, and pay close and consistent attention to detail. Familiarity with basic office software and equipment is essential. You will need to be available to work two Saturdays a month.

This is a patient care position where the ability to work safely and compassionately with pets who may be stressed or injured is critical. To be considered for this role, you need to be able to do or demonstrate:

• A reasonable degree of interpersonal skill
• Animal restraint, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, digital radiography, dental cleanings, dental digital radiography, anesthesia monitoring, manage technician appointments, client education
• The ability to pay close attention to detail, and be aware of the environment
• The ability to work closely with other members of the team, and support the doctors during surgical procedures and with patient care
• The ability to lift 50 pounds safely
• The ability to multi-task, be organized, and get things done in a time sensitive way
• Good communication and customer service skills

If you are not a licensed technician then we require at least 2 years of assistant experience performing all of the duties listed above.

This is a full time job, with a regular schedule 36-40 hours/week including some Saturday hours. If you are interested in being considered for this position, please submit your resume.
