What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Service Representative position at Northwest Neurology, Ltd.?
Patient Service representatives (PSR) are the first point of contact for patients and are the face of our practice. You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities, and have strong commitment to customer service. Our PSR duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greet and check in each patient and/or visitor to NWN with a smile and helpful attitude
- Provide our patient with appropriate paperwork, assist as needed
- Collect co-pays and balances on the account
- Verify and collect updated demographic information and enter accurately into practice software
- Assist with check out as needed (collecting necessary paperwork and setting up follow-up appointments)
- Keep the waiting room presentable
- Previous receptionist or customer service experience in a medical office setting preferred
