What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Technician position at Northwest Ophthalmology?
Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician
Candidate should be well-versed in ophthalmic terminology and proficient with performing the preliminary components of an exam. The skills required are; history-taking, visual acuity, manual lensometry, pupil assessment, motility, refractometry, tonometry, confrontation fields and dilation. Experience performing Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), a-scan biometry, manual keratometry and surgical counseling are also required. Candidate must be a pleasant, reliable, self-motivated individual that is able to function as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
