Job Posting for Application Analyst at Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists
GENERAL SUMMARY: This is not a remote position
The Applications Analyst will provide support to staff, providers and patients of our practice. Support will include troubleshooting software problems and issues mainly related to our Electronic Health Record application, but will also include other medical and office software applications used by the practice. The Applications Analyst will also provide training in the use of our software applications and computer usage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
It is the expectation of all NWOS employees to demonstrate and uphold all 19 NWOS Fundamentals.
Works with Administration, clinical staff and physicians.
Trains staff and providers on updates for practice management and EHR systems.
Prioritizes and resolves EHR and Help Desk related issues as reported via IT/IS ticketing system or by phone
Format, design and build online documents that will work in our EHR.
Manage and support EHR user and system preferences and configurations.
Participate as a key Help desk contact to resolve PC, printing, template issues. Troubleshoot issues.
Maintain knowledge of various programs and be able to find solutions for issues or problems regarding the user’s computer.
Recommends and prepares modifications to accommodate new processes.
Works under the direction of the technical team to complete various projects, IT requests and developmental programs to achieve compliance to regulatory directives such and Meaningful Use and 5010 HIPAA compliance.
Provide excellent customer service to all.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of current Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 7 & 10)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (2010, 2013, & 2016)
Electronic Health Record or Electronic Medical Record application experience (Athena preferred).
Strong customer service skills
Quickly grasp new technology and understand software systems. Keep updated with advancing technology
Past medical office experience preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Local travel is required. Must have access to reliable transportation, current driver license and proof of insurability.
