Job Description: Trust Officer
RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the Northwest Trustee Team, the Trust Officer is responsible for the general administration of trusts, estates, guardianships, and other fiduciary relationships of Northwest Trustee & Management Services, LLC. The Trust Officer needs to enjoy people and be able to personally interact in a gracious, yet firm manner with all trust beneficiaries and their professional advisors. The Trust Officer must be a self-starter and realize the importance of quick and accurate work to meet the various deadlines of each trust.
DUTIES
Trust Administration:
Responsible for overseeing trust administration of assigned fiduciary relationships.
Responsible for handling non-routine issues relating to specific trusts or beneficiaries, including supervision of personal care and interfacing with the beneficiaries’ professional advisors.
Advise the Chief Fiduciary Officer regarding specific trust issues.
Provide/gather clear documentation of all transactions and client interactions.
Maintain courteous, thoughtful, and empathetic relationship with beneficiaries and their professional advisors.
New Trust Assignment:
Collaborate with Onboarding staff to complete the documentation to properly convey assets to trusts.
Effectively work with the Chief Fiduciary Officer to make sure the necessary legal documents are in place for new fiduciary relationships assigned to them.
Other Duties:
Other duties may be added from time to time, and it is important to realize that this is a multifaceted job in a growing company. Therefore, the position requires an ability to be flexible and to meet the challenges of a changing business environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
College degree and five (5) years’ experience; or ten (10) years of relevant professional experience.
Desirable background includes legal, trust management, and marketing experience.
Satisfactory background and credit check.
Computer literacy: professional experience with Microsoft programs and ability to learn proprietary software.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
