Primary Job
Functions
:
Explain value and benefits of the Northwest Workforce Council services businesses and community
members to increase customer engagement.
Understands
the unique workforce needs of business
customer
s
by
conducting interviews courteously
and professionally
.
Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
Conduct outreach activities to businesses in
person and digitally
that results in monthly increased use of
the Council’s key business services; On

and Work Experience/Internships

Collaboratively work
with
Council leadership
and
Direct Services
teams
to develop
business service
strategies
that meet the needs
within the
area’s key
sectors.
Work with business to identify the workforce needs, skills gaps, and other
workforce
service need

Identify
and
work with companies seeking to upskill
incumbent
workers
to expand
into a new line of
business or to avert a layof
f
. Enroll
incumbent workers for
tra
ining.
Maintain tracking reports that summarize the
outcomes
of outreach activities.
Provide information and referrals to other publicly available business programs (SharedWork, Work
Opportunity Tax Credits, etc.).
Develop and manage business relationships to support
diversity, equity, inclusion and access principles
with the goal of
improving economic imbalances, and advancement opportunities for underserved
populations.
Communicates and collaborates regularly with programs teammates to understand needs, share
resources, and refer job seekers to businesses.
