Accountant & Student Accounts Manager

Northwestern College has an opening for a full-time accountant/student accounts manager beginning as early as February 12. This salaried position will report to the comptroller and is responsible for managing student account and billing operations for 1,500 students, implementing and executing electronic payments, managing cash receipts and preparing bank deposits, and supervising student workers.

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of an associate’s degree in accounting or business administration. In lieu of a degree, significant work experience will be considered.
• Experience in delivering excellent customer service with a demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and exercise independent judgment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Excel and Word
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with different departments

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in managing accounts receivable and knowledge of higher education operating systems.
