Associate Wealth Management Advisor

About the Role:
This is a full-time position for the individual who is eager to work with a highly experienced and nationally recognized private wealth advisor (recognized by Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors in 2022, 2023, & 2024), and work in a sophisticated wealth management firm.
The Associate Wealth Management Advisor will help oversee the design, creation, and implementation of financial plans for the firm’s clients and collaborate with team members to ensure the highest standard of client experience and firm operations. They are responsible for servicing clients, developing and overseeing financial plan generation, client meeting case prep, and financial plan implementation with a focus on premier client service, scalability, efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
This position requires up to four days a week in the physical offices (located Downtown Los Angeles and West Los Angeles) and the balance in the virtual office. The Associate Wealth Management Advisor will work with a dynamic team, meet extraordinary clients, and develop strong professional relationships. What You Will Do:
Financial Planning Support
- Research and analyze client/prospect investment portfolios and risk management strategies to identify areas of optimization.
- Assess the client's overall financial picture, needs, and goals, and devise a customized plan with scenarios.
- Prepare meeting materials and case reviews in advance for advisor feedback, ensuring the team is prepped and clear on objectives, agenda, and approach for each client interaction.
- Process case notes, gather prospect/client information and prepare appropriate recommendations.
- Execute and/or delegate trade requests in a timely and compliant manner.
- Perform asset allocation analysis necessary for client onboarding and portfolio reviews.
- Work with third-party insurance brokers.
General Support & Client Service
- Commitment to continuously enhancing the client experience and firm operations.
- Attend client meetings with the advisor and take detailed notes.
- Draft post-meeting client summaries and emails.
- Assist with prospecting efforts on behalf of the team for new advisory clients.
- Serve as primary point-of-contact for clients who are onboarding and coordinate with insurance and investments on next steps and action items.
- Monitor and follow up on asset transfers and on initial and subsequent funding of advisory accounts.
- Maintain current industry and regulatory knowledge impacting financial operations, and update processes as needed to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Work directly with clients to answer questions and provide information in a timely manner to provide superior client experience.
- Document and retain appropriate client communication.
- Develop consistent, high-quality illustrations and proposals.
Project Management
- Maintain workflow dashboard to ensure client communications and tasks have appropriate follow-ups and are moving through the completion process efficiently.
- Support and maintain standard operating procedures for all elements of financial planning for the firm, including investments and insurance operations, to streamline process, develop efficiencies, and reduce error and processing time.
- Initiate end-of-day/week of work accountability.

Requirements:
- Life, Accident & Health Insurance licenses.
- FINRA Series 6/63 and 7 registrations.
- Financial planning credential preferred (CFP, ChFC, etc.) including relevant planning software.
- Minimum of 1 year working in financial planning, or 2-3 years working in investments or insurance.
