What you will do:
As a Communication Strategist you will play a lead role developing and executing communication strategies aligned to the company’s Technology efforts and partner with some of the most exciting, interesting, and forward-thinking teams in the company. Through these groups, you will build awareness and excitement internally to foster ideation, innovation and new ways to solve challenges both between digital innovation efforts (e.g., enterprise hackathons, innovation fairs, and idea campaigns) in addition to communicating efforts that are focused on attracting and retaining technology talent to the company.
How you will do it:
- Regular consultations with supported team leaders and stakeholders to establish and align communication strategy.
- Develop and update annual communication strategy for each key focus area
- Plan, manage and implement communication programs, projects and initiatives that align employees with department direction and strategic priorities.
- Lead committees and task forces in developing complex communication initiatives that support the department business direction, goals and objectives.
- Write/edit articles for regular newsletters and other publications
- Develop/design and/or update key messages
- Act as a resource/mentor to train communication specialists and others as needed.
- May act as liaison with outside communication contractors.
- Administers the measures to evaluate the effectiveness of communication and assess the return on communication investment.
- Recommend, develop, implement and maintain communication standards for department. Assure that quality standards are present in departmental communications.
- Work independently and receives minimal guidance.
- Use your journalism/detective skills to bring life to people, events and stories

- Bachelor's degree (communication or journalism preferred)
- 5 or more years of experience in professional communication, public relations, organizational communication, marketing or related communication field.
- Demonstrated skill in project management.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to absorb complex information and convert it to an understandable format.
- Flexibility to adapt style to various needs and personalities, build consensus with client group leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and analyze information from multiple resources to make business decisions.
