POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an initiative-driven, detail-oriented individual with client service experience to be an integral member of Holds Wealth Advisors. The Planning & Investments Associate will support Holds Wealth Advisors in developing financial plans for clients and overseeing investment operations. The ideal candidate will have an active interest in the financial services industry, a desire for professional growth, and comfort interacting with clients.
This role is critical to firm success and requires a high degree of organizational capability, strong communication skills, and an ability to work reliably both independently and as part of a team.
Case Preparation and Planning
- Responsible for ensuring that a complete and accurate plan is developed for every client aligned to Northwestern Mutual’s planning philosophy and best practices.
- Analyze client financial goals, current situation, and portfolio. Develop appropriate recommendations to meet client needs, risk profile, time horizon and preferences.
- Identify gaps and opportunities within a prospect’s financial plan and prepare insurance illustrations and investment proposals accordingly.
- Solutions may include life, disability, long term care insurance; brokerage; annuity options; and supported advisory programs.
- Prepare Morningstar reports.
- Gather information for advisor meetings with clients/prospects (e.g. prospectuses, annual reports, and marketing materials) and client reports.
- Promote, utilize, and reinforce planning culture aligned to Northwestern Mutual’s planning philosophy and best practices.
- Consult advisor on the presentation of the plan, investment cases and successful client presentation.
Investment Operations
- Create investment proposals for brokerage accounts and advisory programs
- Prepare Morningstar reports for existing as well as proposed portfolios.
- Prepare documentation to open investment accounts
- Assist with the transfer of funds into new and existing accounts and trade the accounts according to the relevant proposal.
- Troubleshoot money movement issues.
- Liaison with clients on approval and execution of trades
- Assist in account rebalancing as necessary.
- Promote, utilize, and reinforce planning culture aligned to Northwestern Mutual’s planning philosophy and best practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in business, finance, or another related field
- Florida Life & Health License (2-15) or ability to obtain within 30 days
- FINRA Series 7
- FINRA Series 63 or Series 66
- 2 years financial planning experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – Outlook, Word, Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior Financial Advisor support experience
- Prior experience with Morningstar and CRM client management software a plus
