PLANNING MANAGER
The Planning Manager works with financial representatives to deliver financial security to their clients through a comprehensive planning process that integrates risk and investment products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
- Promote, utilize, and reinforce a planning culture aligned to Northwestern Mutual’s planning philosophy, best practices and planning assumptions.
- Provide product options based on the needs of the client, risk profile, time horizon and preferences.
The product options need to be in the best interest of the client, ensuring the risk needs are met first.
Inform the financial representative of any potential tax consequences, costs and/or breakpoint information and provide mentoring on how to present the product options to the client. Finally, provide clear case specific documentation on the product options and rationale.
- Reinforce registered representative adherence with network office business and compliance guidelines.
- Provide an integrated package for financial representatives to deliver to their clients as part of a pre- sale package. This includes risk product illustrations, proposals, Investment Policy Statements, etc.
- Prepare an agenda, PX, CCV, IFLs, and if applicable Morningstar, NMCIR, current Investment Policy statement, performance reports and marketing materials.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance and/or related field
- Life, Accident & Health Insurance licenses (required within 90 days of employment)
- Series 6 & 63 (recommended)
- Advisory services and broker/dealer experience with demonstrated investment knowledge and understanding of markets, products, platforms, and services
- Strong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and on a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to proactively identify tasks to be completed and take action as appropriate
- Personal responsibility, self-motivated and desire to learn and grow personally and professionally
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
