Senior Software Engineer, API Transformation

In this role, you will be a champion for new Enterprise Architecture standards by engaging with the internal software engineering community.

About the role:

• Lead and influence API lifecycle discussions.
• Establish, aggregate, and share team standards and practices across department, including work with Jira, Jira Align, and Trello team tools.
• Utilize working relationships across teams within their division.
• Assess and provide solutions to system-wide architectural problems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during the development and deployment of software projects.
• Conduct thorough code evaluation to ensure compliance with established coding standards and best practices.
• Mentor and provide guidance/support to junior engineers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
• 4-5 years of professional experience required in software development.
• 4 years of experience working with modern engineering tools, languages and practices.
• Strong understanding of the API lifecycle from design to retirement.
• Proficiency with building tools in Java, JavaScript, GraphQL, RESTQL.
• Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering significant and impactful technology solutions.
• Experience developing and leading solution delivery using agile methods.
• Solid understanding of the organizations primary domains and business functions.
• Capability for communicating between product, engineering, and the business.
• Ability to successfully communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences in varying forms and levels of detail.
