SCHOOL NURSE, NORTHWOOD SCHOOL – Immediate opening. Full-time. Includes both in-office and on-call duties. Current NYS R.N. license and CPR certification required. Participates in supervision and oversight of school health and wellness program, including daily COVID-19 health screenings, NYS immunization compliance, and student health services. The School Nurse will be responsible for the delivery of high quality patient care and working with the entire team to provide a stimulating environment for the students. The ideal candidate will have excellent bedside manner, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping others.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the health and well-being of students in a 9th through 12th grade setting.
- Maintain a safe environment for students.
- Develop positive relationships with parents, students, and other staff.
- Communicate with other professionals as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment for students.
- Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Current NYS R.N. License required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Prior experience working with children preferred but not required.
