So, what are we looking for?

 

Northwoods is searching for a Developer to join our Product Delivery team. In this role, you will work in a collaborative team environment to develop and support proprietary software using a variety of tools and technologies.


What You Will Do

  • Participate in software delivery with assistance from other developers on an agile development team
  • Pair with other developers and testers in a hybrid work environment
  • Enhance current applications and support legacy applications.
  • Participate in daily standup, sprint retrospective and sprint planning meetings
  • Works productively with the tools in our tool chain (AWS, Docker, GIT, GitLab, CI/CD, IDEs)
  • Promotes and intentionally works to foster an environment and culture of inclusion and equity


What We Are Looking For

Self-starters who are motivated to work collaboratively and care about the quality of their work

  • Working knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in any of the following tools and technologies: Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, Angular, React, C#, SQL, Objective-C, Swift, and Xamarin
  • Experience with testing automation tools and frameworks


All applicants should have a basic understanding of modern software practices including:

  • Version control using Git, Subversion or similar products
  • Ability to research public resources to debug problems
  • Familiarity with pair programming


Understands the importance of:

  • BDD/ATDD
  • TDD
  • Collective Code Ownership
  • Evaluation of the right tool for the job

They are a team player possessing strong analytical as well as technical skills and are able to communicate the logic behind technical decisions to non-tech stakeholders. They must be comfortable working in an agile environment and balance independent work and collaborating with team members.  The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious and value the diverse background and skills that each of your colleagues possess


This role will be located in our Dublin office and will work in a hybrid work environment.
