Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for animal welfare and veterinary medicine.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform various laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
- Prepare animals for surgery, including prepping surgical sites and monitoring anesthesia
- Assist with dental cleanings and other routine procedures
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, medication administration, and post-operative instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Clean and maintain veterinary equipment and instruments
- Provide compassionate care to animals and their owners
Requirements:
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and animal husbandry
- Proficiency in handling various types of animals, including dogs, cats, and exotics
- Ability to perform basic grooming tasks such as nail trims and anal gland expressions preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate pet owners effectively
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
