Description of duties:

• Responsible for handling all shipping and receiving documentation along with assisting in scheduling daily shipments
• Prepares all BOL's for shipping, communicating daily departmental updates, and tracking daily shipments
• Work closely with the warehouse staff while having a customer service focus
• Monitor and work with production to manage production schedules for timely delivery to customers
• Work with Supply Chain Manager to coordinate, plan and delegate responsibilities to Material Handlers
• Prepare Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin, and all other paperwork necessary for export shipments
• Communicate tracking information and freight schedule with parts and equipment sales staff
• Coordinate meetings with Logistics providers to ensure the best possible service levels and pricing for shipments both domestic and international
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to utilize computer is required - experience with MRP is preferred;
• Ability to read and understand electronic and paper shipping documents;
• Ability to operate material handling equipment and to work safely in a warehouse environment;
• Ability & willingness to follow policies & procedures;
• Self-motivated.
• Overtime may be required occasionally, and on rare occasions, all associates may be required to work on Saturday or Sunday to meet customer requirements.

Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. Ability to regularly walk, stand, use hands and fingers, handle, grasp or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Additional effort requirements consist of, but are not limited to, lifting, pushing, and pulling materials. Ability to work for 8 hours or longer on hard surface concrete floors, and to wear all required PPE including safety footwear at all times.

Education/Certifications/Licenses

• High school diploma
• Minimum of three years of material handling experience
• Forklift and pallet jack experience required
• Clean MVR and valid drivers license
• Domestic and International shipping experience required
