Job Description

Notified is a newly created division within West Technology Group that provides public relations (PR) and investor relations (IR) solutions delivered to thousands of public and private companies globally via cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms.

As a member of Product Management team, you will be responsible for developing products that delight our business customers, IR and PR professionals.  You will work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out features based on the company’s overall vision and strategy.

Product Management includes setting the product’s vision, gathering requirements from stakeholders, prioritizing those requirements, and working closely with our software engineering teams to deliver the feature. In addition to technology teams, the primary stakeholders are customers and internal employees; including sales, customer service, marketing and legal teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop an in-depth understanding of customer experience, identify and prioritize product gaps and develop new ideas to improve customer experience, increase retention and grow market share.
• Establish buy-in for the product vision with management and key stakeholders.
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
• Uncover business, functional and performance requirements by conducting interviews with various customers and internal stakeholders.
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into specific, tangible product improvements.
• Serve as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding across the organization.
• Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and industry trends.

 REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

• Proven work experience in product management for SaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and processes.
• General understanding of the development and deployment of enterprise business software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of employees, managers, subject matter experts and customers.
• Prepare and review product requirements documents (PRD).
• Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

Applicant for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in marketing, business administration, or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ of software marketing and/or product management experience required
•  Based on area of assignment the following may be preferred:
  • Sales experience with conferencing products
• Minimum 2 years' experience working with Collaboration, Webcasting, Video applications
• Minimum 1 year experience in digital media (streaming video, social media, mobile apps)

Other

• Basic knowledge in technology preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point required
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies is highly desirable
