Production Associate

Job description

Production Associates are responsible for performing production type functions that support the overall operations and other customer-related activities. The activities may include but are not limited to building assemblies, running small machines, counting parts, packaging items to get ready to ship, and help control inventory usage. This individual will be able to work independently or in a team environment by carrying out duties with limited supervision while being highly self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Reviews tactical production schedules.
• Performs a variety of duties in for production and basic material handling tasks.
• Validate customer data sheets against a purchase orders or the pick sheets.
• Performs basic automated and manual equipment set-up functions which may include the loading of jigs, fixtures, and software.
• Delivers work in way that eliminates scrap or rework.
• Keeps the leadership team informed and escalates issues when needed.
• Material Handling Equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, bar code scanners, etc.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Less than One (1) year of related experience is required; One (1) or more years of related experience is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Work Environment

• The work setting should consist of a manufacturing warehouse environment with suitable lighting, temperatures are dependent on outside conditions, and a moderate noise level.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol test.

Work hours: Monday thru Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm.

Overtime maybe required to support business needs.
