The Chemical Operator performs process tasks in a chemical manufacturing environment.

In your future role as Chemical Operator you will

• Comply with all safety and environmental regulations for the site.
• Be responsible for the proper operation of a process in which a chemical reaction takes place, regardless of whether the process is continuous or batch.
• Make changes in instrument settings and formulas as described by the laboratory or supervisor.
• Report safety issues or concerns to supervision as soon as they are found.
• Report equipment deficiencies to ensure repairs can be made.
• Work with other operators assigned to their process area.
• Be responsible for completing logs and records pertaining to their process.
• Perform certain analytical tests which are required for the proper function of the process.
• Be responsible for the general cleanliness of the process area.
• Perform simple or minor maintenance on equipment.
• Use various types of tools required to perform duties.
• Perform such other related duties as may be assigned.
• Participate in HSES activities directed by management/supervision.
• Contribute to the improvement of HSES processes at the Salisbury site by providing feedback and improvement opportunities.
• Aid in training of fellow employees for certifications in his/her work area.
• Team members must operate under any applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) when performing functions within their role.

We believe you bring

• HS diploma or equivalent (GED)
• High attention to detail
• Ability to manage time effectively

Good to know

The plant runs on a 24/7 basis with 12-hour shifts, rotating days & nights. Day shift will run from 7 AM – 7 PM, while night shift will run from 7 PM – 7 AM. The starting pay rate for this role is $24/hour and then to $28.15/hour within four months depending on performance.
