Operator 2 - Green Bay, WI

The Operator role is open to candidate that have up to 3 years of experience in manufactuirng or maitenance related fields. The role will perform a variety of tasks to support the safe operation of a chemical manufactring facility.

Responsibilities

• Independently and safely operate manufacturing process including computer controlled (DCS) operations.
• Understand plant layout, main processes, product names, administrative processes, product specifications, and customer needs.
• Perform quality control including lab analyses, documenting accurate results, and logging production and quality data into the computer system.
• Make process decisions and execute changes based on process data and quality test results to keep products within specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes and take appropriate action.
• Perform licensed forklift operation and use pallet jack as necessary.
• Perform basic maintenance, general preventive maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Receive and unload raw materials.
• Package and load finished products.
• Assist in developing operating procedures.

Education & Experience

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 0-3 years of experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic mathematical skills including ability to interpret tanker calibration charts, convert weight measurements, calculate product formulations, etc.
• Basic literacy skills including the ability to read and comprehend instructions required to perform job function
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft applications
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Self-motivated with ability to independently prioritize tasks during shift
• Adhere to corporate and site safety policies and procedures
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required including full facial respirators, N95 masks, hard hat, steel toed shoes, and safety glasses.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
