Assess existing processes for areas of improvement utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts
Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues that are resulting in process inefficiencies and/or products quality issues.
Utilize improvement methodologies, i.e., Six Sigma
Develop, communicate, and mange projects to improve process or reduce product deficiencies
Monitor process improvements for effectivity and evaluate opportunities for additional improvements.
Develop and present training programs to educate personnel on process improvements
Track and communicate process improvement initiatives and the output of these initiatives
Solve practical problems
Develop and assist with conducting process audits
Travel to facilities to identify technical issues with design, process, or equipment
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent field
Minimum of 2 years of experience as Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer
Lean Six Sigma knowledge: Possesses hands-on knowledge in data analytics, Pareto analysis, fishbone diagrams, 5 why analysis, impact vs. effort, other root cause analysis methods, systemic thinking, A3, 5S and pull systems.
Project management skills: ability to track and drive towards project milestones and completion.
Communication skills to effectively lead multi-disciplinary projects
Familiar with industrial processes, preferably manufacturing equipment
Adequate verbal, written and analytical skills with a professional and helpful demeanor.
Computer literacy using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
