Job Posting for Machinist at Nova Biomedical
Nova Biomedical is hiring a ProtoTrak Machinist in our Waltham, MA facility on the First Shift (Monday - Friday 7 : 00 A.
M. - 3 : 30 P.M.). This Machinist will be the primary machinist to design, develop, and fabricate fixtures for manufacturing and R&D assemblies throughout Nova Biomedical.
The ability to comprehend use requirements and conceptualize the best way to design the fixtures for use is a key capability for this position.
Other Responsibilities include :
- Accommodate the needs of individuals requiring Machine Shop services (fixtures, R&D requests, tooling and equipment repair)
- Design and develop new fixtures / tooling from work request forms and verbal instructions
- Repair or improve existing fixtures while documenting changes
Qualifications :
- Read and write English and follow written / verbal instructions
- Perform basic math
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Ability to comprehend Engineering drawings
- Ability to use shop metrology equipment
Education / Experience :
- 2 Year Technical School Degree or equivalent work experience
- 10 plus years of Machine Shop Experience
- Proficient CNC programming skills a plus
