The Sales Specialist develops and manages a designated territory with the goal of maximizing sales. This role is responsible for identifying and developing business relationships within targeted dermatologists, podiatrists and other high prescribing physicians and Health Care providers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals.
- Identify key influencers and achieve designated call expectations with a focus on top target customers.
- Deliver product presentations to customers in assigned territory, outlining the products, features, benefits and services.
- Understand and address both business and scientific oriented needs of healthcare professionals by engaging in meaningful dialogue to determine underlying patient needs and determine how our products could address such needs.
- Deploy quality initiatives, conduct gap assessments as needed and provide key input into the development of such initiatives.
- Assist in the execution of marketing plans as required.
- Develop quarterly business plans.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements, minimum education level, and experience:
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience (ideally in dermatology) in pharmaceutical or medical sales
- Experience and/or relationships in Dermatology a plus
- Documented performance record National/regional awards and recognition
- Demonstrated advancement in field of sales through career progression.
- Valid drivers license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to drive and produce results
- Demonstrated professional relationship building skills
- Strong selling skills, proven ability to sell 2nd and 3rd to market brands
- Aptitude to understand High Science
- Experience and understanding of specialty pharmacy access model
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize
- Strong technical and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal skills including listening, writing, facilitation
- Strong work ethic, highly motivated, well organized
- Ability to travel 75% of the time
Physical Requirements, Work Environment and Travel:
Ability to frequently sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time
Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision & depth perception
Ability to perform moderate lifting, 15-30 pounds (per safety policy)
The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes as well as possible adverse weather conditions when traveling to clients and potential clients.
This position is 75% travel within the assigned territory.
