Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Two year college preferred or related health field experience.
- Experience: Three years required.
- Licensure/Certification: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. Registered with NC Medical Board required.
- Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; good communication skills, medical terminology, previous experience with computers, manual dexterity and capacity to deal with visual concepts; initiative and judgement to proceed with work without constant supervision; high degree of patience and understanding in dealing with unusual situations; ability to work flexible nighttime schedule; basic ECG reconition; advanced understanding of the concepts of polysomnography. Demonstrates effective leadership skills to facilitate patient care delivery. Assist in development and maintenance of department policies and procedures. Maintains inventory and assures equipment is in operating condition. Coordinates and allocates technical team appropriately. Can perform all departmnetal procedures.
- Additional Skills (preferred): Obtain additioal training regarding pediatric polysomnography as well as advanced titration modalities.
