The Director, Analytics Program Management will provide leadership and project management to assigned strategic programs to ensure successful execution and achievement of desired business results. In this role you will be accountable for achieving strategic goals of assigned programs in alignment with Commercial Acceleration (CA) and Enterprise Insights & Data Science (EI&DS) organizational expectations.
This includes being responsible for providing advanced program management and leadership of CA and EI&DS’ analytics projects and programs, ensuring program deliverables are achieved on time, within scope, and within budget, helping to create a project management core competency within EI&DS, and collaborating with franchises, product teams, and cross-functional partners to design and execute project and communication plans and initiate change management. We are looking for someone with a natural ability to influence beyond levels and reporting lines to bring solutions organically to the group.
This opportunity is located at the Novartis East Hanover site, and will not have the ability to be located remotely.
What you will be responsible for?
Leadership
Lead CA and EI&DS strategic analytics programs / projects and teams to achieve stated program / project and business objectives in line with specific strategies
Apply advanced program / project management practices, tools and techniques
Identify, manage, and track project critical path activities and dependencies
Achieve intended strategic objectives and deliver assigned projects on time, within scope, within budget and with quality-compliance
Build and maintain comprehensive and professional project documentation, including project plan, tracking, and subsequent implementation and closeout materials
Routinely embed advanced risk management principles to minimize project risks
Act as first point of contact and establish appropriate channels to communicate project progress and performance on a regular basis to all relevant partners
Proactively assess, develop, and implement optimal organizational change and communication plan, to ensure organizational readiness throughout implementations
Develop, track and report overall program performance metrics, including sharing new insights and implementing corrective actions, where needed
Tracking initiatives and linking them to strategic imperatives and working with franchise teams to ensure best practices are delivered
People
Foster collaboration among team leads and associates and other project managers to enable collaborative ways of working, knowledge sharing, and consistency in the delivery of identified strategies
Ensure teams work effectively cross-functionally with CA and EI&DS Leads, I&E Leads, the Data and Platform group and vendors to meet organizational needs
Manage strategic vendors, providing functional expertise to guide best-in-class service delivery and innovative thinking

Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, business or financial management, analytics, and/or engineering. Advanced degree preferred
PMP certification and/ or certified Agile professional credentials (or equivalent professional project experience) a plus
10 years Project & Program Management experience in large, complex initiatives
5 years Life Sciences industry experience (pharmaceutical, biotech, biopharma, medical device, med tech, etc.)
Experience designing and/ or executing analytics or market research projects
Demonstrated strong skills in oral and written communication
Ability to build relationships, collaborate and influence across a matrix organization
Demonstrated experience in organizational savviness and stakeholder management to balance multiple conflicting initiatives and optimize contributions
