The Training Operations Lead is responsible for the governance and strategy of the technical training associated with the entire Cell and Gene Therapy Organization (CG&T) manufacturing network. This role provides oversight to technical training and related capabilities building for Make-Test-Release, technical, and supporting business functions.
MANAGEMENT OF TECHNICAL TRAINING PROGRAMS AND CONTENT
TECHNICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Training Operations Lead is responsible for the governance and strategy of the technical training associated with the entire Cell and Gene Therapy Organization (CG&T) manufacturing network. This role provides oversight to technical training and related capabilities building for Make-Test-Release, technical, and supporting business functions.
MANAGEMENT OF TECHNICAL TRAINING PROGRAMS AND CONTENT
- Support the alignment of technical training strategies and content across the CGT network including but not limited to Make-Test-Release (PU, Quality, etc.), other technical (MS&T), and supporting business functions (P&O, Finance, etc.)
- Define and maintain strategies for training on Novartis and client products manufactured at the Morris Plains site.
- Develop and review technical training content as required
- Act as SME on Technical Training approaches
- Liaise with Global Operations Center (GOC) to support learning content and curriculum alignment across the network
- Participate in Morris Plains Site Training Council and drive actions related to technical training
- Align with SMEs within various departments to ensure up-to-date content, technique, and business criteria are captured in the Training Material
- Define and manage adherence to site and network technical training metrics and related KPIs
- Monitor effectiveness of technical training programs and site trainers
- Maintain the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management Systems
TECHNICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Foster & support a team culture that is engaged and empowered
- Act as training SME for CMOs including knowledge transfer, training, document review and site audits
- Perform training strategy development including material consumption, resource assessment, and environment requirements, for technical transfers

Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's degree required. A degree in relevant science or engineering discipline or an advanced degree is desirable.
- 3 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical and related cGMP regulated industry required.
- Technical training experience required, preferably in a production, QA, and/ or QC related role.
- Direct experience working in a Cell & Gene therapy GMP and aseptic or sterile environment is desired
- Leadership experience highly desired (i.e. team lead, SME, senior technical role, etc.)
- This position will be based in Morris Plains NJ
