Position Overview
The Data Solutions Lead- Finance, provides development and support to the solution design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance for Hyperion products HFM and FDMEE as is expected to support the transition to the OneStream XF platform for the financial consolidation processes. This team member should possess a good understanding of financial consolidation processes and its’ industry leading technologies such as OneStream and Hyperion.
Evaluation of business requirements and translates those requirements into robust technical solutions. Assesses solution options and makes decisions about application changes. Works with the business and IT application support on all changes between the production and project environment. Ensures adherence to organization and project standards. Partners with the business and IT to understand requirements and priorities.
Job Context & Major Challenges:
- Maintaining in-depth application knowledge of Hyperion modules HFM and FDMEE and exposure of the OneStream XF platform, while working with 3rd party vendor support for day-to-day maintenance tasks
- Willingness to learn adjacent application technologies that tightly integrate with Hyperion and OneStream (SAP and Oracle EBS).
- Balancing business needs with scalability and robustness of technical solution.
- Working with resources not within direct management lines. Combining local requirements with the global Hyperion and OneStream applications strategy.
- Working with the business and IT application support to make improvements to the Global Hyperion/OneStream applications processes.
- Accounting/Finance experience in the area of consolidation with some understanding of general ledger systems, relational databases, and foreign currency translations a plus
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Ownership of the Hyperion & OneStream solutions for Novelis:
- Maintain and support IT-related changes (break-fix, minor enhancements and deployments) to the application.
- Collaborates with the business and IT leadership on design specifications for the Hyperion/OneStream technical solution.
- Collaborates with IT leadership and other IT Application Leads that support adjacent applications (SAP and Oracle) to ensure functional and technical integration points are adequately addressed
Determines best solution for defined business needs:
- Collaborates with business and IT application support to develop, evaluate and document solution options.
- Collaborates with other IT Applications Leads to ensure integration points are accounted for.
- Collaborates with IT leadership to discuss and communicate best solutions. Provides technical recommendations
Ensures adherence to organization, project standards and documentation standards:
- Promotes the application maintenance and processes standards defined by IT. Takes an active role in making sure others follow the defined standards.
- Creates baseline documentation/training videos of currently enabled solution and keeps solution documentation and training materials current
Advocates the Hyperion solution within the business and regions:
- Collaborates with IT leadership and stakeholders for current and future project collaboration.
- Develops relationships in multiple modules and business functions to help meet project timeline expectations with quality deliverables.
Collaborates with Operations Support Lead to manage outsourcing partner:
- Actively supports the outsourcing partner when needed or requested by the Operations Support Lead.
- Provides input to the support model and structure and develops recommendations.
- Designs a thorough transition plan for activities to be owned by off-shore team, supported by detailed documentation, training and with two-party signoff. Promotes open and frequent communication with off-shore team to review incidents and maintenance activities.

Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in OneStream, HFM and FDMEE application development, administration and support required.
- Proficiency in all aspects of the software capabilities from a technical and support perspective.
- Accounting/Finance experience in the areas of consolidation with understanding of trial balance data, general ledger systems, relational databases, and foreign currency translations
- Experience with Shared Services, Hyperion Workspace, and Smart View
- Solid foundational knowledge of the various components of both OneStream XF and the Oracle EPM suite of products and how they are integrated with one another such as HFP, Essbase, and Data Relationship Management (DRM)
- Experience with SAP and Oracle ERP systems
- Working knowledge of SQL and object-based programming language such as VB.Net desired
- Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Project, Powerpoint and Visio
