Position Overview

Novelis Oswego has an exciting opportunity for an operator!  An operator’s role is to be responsible for performing a variety of mechanical tasks within the plant. Specific duties of an operator include working on machines, using heavy mobile equipment, performing maintenance on various equipment used in the plant, ensuring that the production is in line with established quality standards, attending training sessions, ensuring that various environmental health and safety regulations are adhered to the entire manufacturing process, coordinating with coworkers, meeting production targets, and performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Experience working in an environment where critical thinking and problem-solving is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial equipment operation experience
• Maintenance experience
• Good communication skills
• Leadership ability
• Desire to work in a team environment

For this role, the pay is from $20.15 USD / hour. Individual pay will vary based on qualifications, experience, and performance.

Oswego, NY is a small city with a beautiful waterfront, complemented by the maritime theme found within the city.
