What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician position at Novipax?
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES : Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following :
Reads and interprets common engineering drawings, specification documentation and machinery manuals.
Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and adjust electrical and mechanical equipment.
Basic familiarity with the requirements of the NEC (National Electrical Codes) as they pertain to the facility.
Performs all prescribed preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
Troubleshoot and correct electronic instrumentation problems with devices such as thermocouples, motor tachometers, temperatures controllers, and pressure transducers.
Actively participates in company safety programs to include safety inspections, safety observations and JSA risk assessments as required.
Repairs and troubleshoots machinery and equipment used in the production of padded polystyrene trays, to include thermoforming, padding, lamination, and extrusion equipment.
Operates safely all related shop equipment.
Operates forklifts and yard equipment
Work must meet high standards of competent craftsmanship and professionalism in terms of quality, proficiency, efficiency, and material utilization.
Conducts food safety and defense self-inspections and reports on deficiencies.
