GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Intern will support the business by performing a full range of administrative duties, including utilizing Microsoft Office, event planning, administrative planning, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create various documents, spreadsheets, etc. utilizing Microsoft Office applications.
Perform various general office duties, including faxing, copying, mailing, filing, generating proposals, creating job descriptions, etc.
Research a wide variety of information requests.
May assist with developing, updating, and/or reviewing local operating procedures and/or work instructions.
May lead the work of other office administrative staff.
Serves as a resource on all office policy, methods and procedures, and performs data entry and retrieval functions.
Assists with the preparation of reports and performs various accounting, compliance, inventory, and/or Human Resources-related duties, as requested.
Maintain filing processes and scans items into the computer system.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office applications.
Skill in typing and general computer literacy.
Ability to type quickly and accurately.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of varied backgrounds and levels of management.
Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude towards employees and customers.
Skill in problem solving and decision making/analysis.
Ability to prioritize rapidly, while utilizing problem solving skills when dealing with unforeseen circumstances.
Ability to multitask in stressful and fast-paced environments.
Ability to plan, organize, and complete a variety of projects within established standards, objectives, and timeframes.
Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods or for duration of shift (8 – 12 hour shifts).
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION:
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Varied working conditions between controlled and uncontrolled environments. Low to moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; exposure to dampness and humidity; exposure to slippery and uneven surfaces. Use of personal protective equipment may be required.
