Position Overview: As the Data Center Director at Novva Data Centers, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic planning, operations, and management of our cutting-edge data center facilities. Your leadership will ensure the highest levels of availability, security, and reliability while providing our clients with an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute data center strategies aligned with Novva Data Centers' mission and growth objectives.
2. Data Center Operations: Lead day-to-day operations, including capacity planning, maintenance, and rapid issue resolution to maintain uninterrupted 24/7 service.
3. Infrastructure Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and upkeep of all data center hardware, software, and networking equipment.
4. Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce robust security protocols, procedures, and industry standards to safeguard data center assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
5. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of data center professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
6. Budget Management: Develop and manage the data center budget, optimizing operational efficiency while meeting performance standards.
7. Vendor Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers to access cutting-edge solutions and support.
8. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring data center resilience.
9. Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates on data center performance, including uptime, efficiency, and capacity utilization, to executive leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• 6 years of experience in data center management or a similar role.
• 8 years of experience in team leadership and management.
• Deep knowledge of data center technologies, including server hardware, networking, and virtualization.
• Familiarity with industry best practices, standards, and compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, ITIL).
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
