What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback/Bartender position at Nox?
Duties up to and including for Bartender/Barback
Customer service: including being professional and polite
Assisting guests with their ordering and dining needs.
POS knowledge, making sure you are putting orders in correctly
Menu knowledge, knowing what comes with what menu item. Ensuring that you are comfortable enough to answer any questions pertaining to the menu.
Time management, greeting guest in a timely fashion
Drink knowledge: knowing how to make any drink that is on our cocktail menu, as well as classic cocktails
Spirit knowledge- if you are lacking knowledge in any spirits, you are expected to reach out and learn about them.
Changing sodas and CO2 tanks
Standing and walking for extended periods of time
Money management, giving correct change. Making sure that the bar register and change bags are counted and correct at the start and end of your shift.
Proper end of night turn-in- cash must equal the POS amount every time
Closing the restaurant, including locking up and setting the alarms
Locking outside doors, parking lot, and patio entrances
Sweeping and cleaning to ensure that you are working in a clean environment.
Picking up and disposing of garbage throughout your shift
Vacuuming as needed to ensure that all debris is removed from the carpet.
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work space from opening shift to closing shift
Stocking bar items as needed
Rotating beers and liquors as needed
Answering the phone within 3 rings, taking messages, and assisting callers with questions
Lifting -/ 50 pounds
Putting away orders as needed in an organized manner; FIFO
