What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Analyst position at NPK Construction Equipment?
SUMMARY: This position supports users of the Genesis/NPK ERP and related software by optimizing functionality of the software and the surrounding business processes and IT infrastructure. This includes fielding and handling development, troubleshooting, training, and process-change requests as well as handling day to day end user questions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide ERP process/application support and expertise to users and teams both onsite and in the field.
- Provide customer service and support to users utilizing Syteline and related software
- Work with users to optimize their knowledge and use of software application functionality
- In conjunction with NPK and onsite IT, provide oversight of the network infrastructure working with outside vendors to ensure maximum uptime and performance in supporting the needs of the business
- Champion standardized best-practices across the organization.
- Serve as mentor and overseer for local representatives on super-user group(s).
- Serve as the IT go-to person for questions & issues relative to the functionality of ERP related software applications and ensure that users are utilizing the application properly and thoroughly.
- Lead user-teams on new projects or initiatives for developing or modifying software. Administer functional security within applications.
- Create reports and document procedures/modification.
- Drive IT spirit as a service center focused on needs of the internal and external customer.
- Support all Internal controls and IT policy requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or any business-related discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of the following systems: Infor Syteline and ERP Processes
- Experience in SQL Microsoft Database, TSQL Coding, VBA/VB.NET programming language, C# a plus
- Ability to translate business/user needs into system requirements
- Above-average written/verbal communication & interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills and strong customer service orientation
- Knowledge of manufacturing, warehouse, and accounting processes
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90 percent of the time while operating their computer and performing office work. The individual needs to occasionally move about inside the office. They constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and computer printer. They must be able to exchange accurate information with customers and others in the office while interacting. The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and make adjustments as necessary.
