What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Equipment Mechanic -- Full-Time position at NPS?

$5,000 reward for joining our team

Schedule: 2-hour 2-2-3 (6:00am/pm 6:00pm/am)

$1.50 additional pay for hours worked after 6 p.m.

Description:

Assist with plant operations by conducting regular preventative maintenance.

Requirements:

Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a 24/7 production setting.

Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC's, electrical systems (including thermal couples, heating systems, sensors, switches, SSR relays, fans, blowers, and three-phase motors).

Familiarity with tools, power tools, and common devices.

Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Capable of completing forms and correspondence.

Proficient in using computer software programs like Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Flexible availability until start-up and full production are achieved.

Responsibilities:

Follow a daily preventative maintenance schedule.

Install, repair, and maintain various machinery (including conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, compressors, chillers, and dryers).

Regularly check safety systems, alarm systems, and facility mechanisms.

Troubleshoot electrical and PLC issues.

Perform general facility upkeep tasks.

Document repairs and preventative maintenance activities.

Comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Maintain required levels of productivity and quality.

Suggest process improvements when possible.

Participate in continuous improvement projects.

Manage the maintenance shop spare parts program.

Create or source parts as needed.

Be available for off-shift work and emergency call-ins.

Assist with machine start-ups and changeovers.

Operate machinery to cover absences or training periods.
