The Payroll Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Payroll Department. Coordinates activities and performs administrative duties, while aligning tasks with the team's goals and business objectives.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the department and answers routine payroll questions
- Performs a variety of administrative tasks in support of the department meeting their goals and objectives
- Maintains databases, reports and records that are necessary to support payroll activities
- Keeps strict confidentiality of payroll information according to company policies and procedures
- Communicates effectively through phone, e-mail and correspondence with internal and external customers, while maintaining a professional manner
- Provides excellent customer service through prompt responses to inquiries and routine problem solving
- Operates a variety of office equipment to accomplish daily tasks and orders office supplies to keep consumables in stock
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Job Specifications
Education A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Certifications
Years Experience 2 or more years of relevant experience
Skills
- Knowledge and experience in human resources processes and the ability to coordinate activities for a team
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
- Ability to recognize and solve typical problems and select solutions from established options
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $24.00 - $31.00 per hour
