RN Private Duty

NR, Inc. is hiring Registered Nurses (RN's) to provide in home patient care "Private Duty" in Union, KY. We offer flexible schedules and weekly pay! Days or nights, part-time or full time hours.

As a Private Duty RN, you will provide skilled nursing care to a single patient in the comfort of their own home.

Job Duties:

• Manage patient care and provide skilled nursing interventions according to the Plan of Care in the treatment of the patient. Apply knowledge and skills according to each patient's needs.
• Consult with the Nurse Case Manager regarding needed changes in the Plan of Treatment. Accept verbal orders from physicians and communicate these orders to Nurse Case Manager.
• Obtain patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration's.
• Document thoroughly by completing forms, and records per company policy in a timely manner.
• Monitor and report observations of the patients condition to the Nurse Case Manager. Notify the Case Manager immediately if any incidents or accidents occur.
• Follow company policies and procedures and ensures confidentiality of patient records and information. (HIPPA)

Qualifications/Skill:

• Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet patient's needs
• Able to work independently.
• Effective reading, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy ("bedside manner")
• Patience, Compassion, Kindness
• Critical thinking skills, observational skills
• Knowledge of infection control practices, occupational hazards, and safety rules.

Qualifications:

• 6 months experience as RN preferred
• Ventilator experience preferred.

License Requirements:

• Must have current RN license with Kentucky board of nursing
• Current CPR (BLS) certification required (company can provide)
• Current TB test required (company can provide)
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.00 per hour
