What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grassroots Field Coordinator - MidAtlantic (VA, MD, WV, NC, DE) position at NRA?
*MUST CURRENTLY LIVE WITHIN ONE OF THE STATES FOR THIS REGION*
Well-motivated and passionate individuals sought to help create lasting networks of pro-Second Amendment volunteers and activists in regions across the nation to help further the NRA-ILA's grassroots programs and legislative and political agendas and mission. These employees will reside in an assigned region, and will be responsible for all grassroots activities within their states.
Essential Responsibilities: Be a liaison between volunteers, advocates, and NRA Headquarters/Staff; grow sustainable networks of volunteers for long term goals; promote and implement NRA-ILA's grassroots programs, including collegiate and high school outreach; create sustainable networks between other pro-Second Amendment organizations; work with NRA-ILA lobbyists to provide grassroots support for federal, state, and local legislative initiatives; represent NRA at, and provide staffing for, events; promote, organize, and implement NRA-ILA's campaign activities, including oversight of Campaign Field Representatives in targeted races; administrative and fiscal paperwork; and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years of paid campaign experience and a deep passion for the Second Amendment.
Familiarity with gun-related issues, the NRA, campaign technology, and grassroots experience within the pro-Second Amendment community preferred.
Additional qualifications:
Must be willing to dedicate attention to this job on full-time basis, including many weekends and evenings; this is not a traditional 9 to 5 job; extensive and frequent travel within the assigned region and other areas as may be assigned is required
Must live currently within assigned region and have an established network of volunteers;
Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and remotely, with minimal direct oversight, and meet strict deadlines and reporting requirements;
Must be in harmony with NRA's mission
