Job Description NRECA’s HR department is looking for a new member of our collaborative and caring HR team. Our motto is “OneHR” because we focus on Service Excellence as a unified team. We are looking for a team player who enjoys working on projects and programs across a variety of HR Services. This newly created role will report into the HR Systems and Total Rewards team while also working closely with the Talent Management team. We are a learning orientated, dynamic and mission-driven organization. Job Summary: Organizes, coordinates, and completes HR projects with emphasis on a seamless and positive employee experience. Administers HR programs to support timely, accurate HR operations, serving as a bridge and collaborator across the department. Works across talent management, HR Systems and Total Rewards programs to manage compliance activities, ensure accurate records and support Workday operations (HR Systems) and compensation administration. Provides guidance and training to staff and managers for policies and practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborates with HR staff members across the department to manage programs and projects strategically and effectively, while ensuring Service Excellence for NRECA employees and colleagues. Manages annual compliance reports and filings (i.e. AAP, EEO, VETS and ACA). Prepares, submits and tracks benchmarking surveys used for compensation programs and supports the Compensation Manager as needed. Oversees the summer internship program, coordinating the intern interview process and program structure and schedule. Reconciles the monthly invoice for all employee benefits (medical, dental, life, etc.) and works with the benefits and payroll teams for potential updates. Organizes the scheduling, logistics and communications for new hire bi-weekly and quarterly onboarding sessions. Leads new hire orientation sessions on a rotating basis with other team members. Supports HR Systems team on Workday maintenance, including business process reviews, release testing, reporting, data validation and documentation of procedures and job aids. Coordinates Total Rewards statement development and communication to staff. Cross trains with colleagues to support program administration, including leave administration, education assistance and recognition programs. Responsible for the proper security and disposal of any confidential information that they possess in the course of performing this position’s job duties, in accordance with NRECA’s Personnel & Administrative Policy and HIPAA Privacy and Security Policies & Procedures Manuals. Qualifications Formal Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, business or related field. Experience and Certifications Required: Minimum 3 years working in Human Resources Demonstrable experience with Excel, data analysis, and HRIS systems (Workday preferred) Experience delivering services and serving as an adviser for employees and management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects at various stages of development using effective organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse membership, employees and/or vendors in a clear and precise manner. Strong project or program management skills. Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point) and to operate various office equipment such as personal computer, copier, printer, fax machine or other job-related equipment. Ability to think analytically and focus on details and accuracy. Interpersonal skills, member service orientation and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to deliver new hire orientation presentations and training. Ability to provide service excellence by building relationships, being resourceful, responsive and respectful.
