Maintenance Manager

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintains high employee motivation by empowering personnel and stressing the importance of cooperation
• Assures training of new employees to obtain proficiency within a reasonable time for the particular job.
• Effectively implements performance standards/goals.
• Provides timely and helpful feedback, counseling and coaching.
• Actively assists employees in relating his/her job to the overall company operations and goals.
• Delegates progressively greater responsibilities whenever possible.
• Is willing to recommend his/her best employees for promotional opportunities.
• Offers assistance to employees who have personal problems that impact job performance.
• Gives specific recognition to personnel for their contributions.
• Demonstrates ability to select suitable personnel and train them to assume specific responsibilities.
• Establishes and maintains two-way communication with all levels of supervision under his/her jurisdiction,including administrative and represented employees.
• Adjusts to changing conditions and reacts accordingly, accomplishes planned results.
• Assesses the material and staffing requirements to complete a job.
• Enforces all appropriate regulations and rules and keeps abreast of all safety and housekeeping practices and how they apply.
• Accepts responsibility for facilities image.
• Institutes changes when necessary, to improve the safety within or outside of area of responsibility.
• Prepares SAP reports which are clear, concise, and complete.

• Tracks and controls that portion of the capital and expense budget that is related to his/her area of responsibility.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a related field or Baccalaureate degree in an Engineering, Business, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, and 6 years of equivalent experience in a related field
• Experience leading/supervising employees in a related field

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Understands the processes, systems, assets, resources, key personnel, and business functions of the Region
• Knowledge of power plant systems and operations, and comprehensive knowledge in the area of responsibility
• Knowledge in SAP Maintenance Management System
• Experience in the Purchasing Processing System
• Demonstrated effective leadership and personnel management skills
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a team environment
• Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) at all levels of the organization
• Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals
• Ability to use a personal computer and standard business software
• Ability to read, create and follow written policies and procedures
• Ability to understand and use work management systems
• Knowledge of the bargaining unit Agreement (if applicable)
• Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations

Working Conditions:

• Normal office environment and/or power plant environment
• Requires operation of a motor vehicle; appropriate Driver's License.
• Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders, and entering plant equipment to access, inspect, or collect data on plant equipment
• Work overtime and non-standard working hours as required
• Requires occasional travel outside service area
• Occasionally requires wearing personal protective safety equipment (respirators, safety glasses, hard hat, appropriate footwear, ear plugs, etc.)
• May be required to work around rotating and energized equipment, hazardous materials and chemicals
• Requires operation of a personal computer
• Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities

Salary :

The salary range for this role is $118,600.00 - $171,900.00.Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
