Job Summary:
Includes, but are not limited to the following:
- Supports and emphasizes the importance of Safety and Environmental policies
- Provides detailed planning by developing scopes of work, identifying, and estimating manpower and material requirements, and identifying all associated activities required to accomplish the work
- Lead daily staff production meetings
- Works with Operations and Station Managers to develop a resource integrated daily, weekly, monthly, and outage work schedules
- Ensures that all work is planned and complies with current safety procedures and LOTO protocols
- Creates/develops schedules in support of routine & outage maintenance and/or projects as needed
- Creates documents, including reports, memos, graphs, charts, tables, etc.
- Gains cooperation and action from team members not under employee’s direct reporting
- Coordinate and interface between various work groups
- Reviews and updates job plans/work packages as needed
- Ensures Company resources are used in a cost-effective manner
- Recognizes problems and is proactive in helping to resolve them
- Initiates and tracks progress of work using work management systems
- Actively promotes updating of plant Preventive Maintenance systems
- Leads the development and implementation of outage resource and performance strategies to perform all outage work effectively and efficiently
- Leads Outage/Project update meetings
- Leads and directs all aspects of projects – schedule, tracking of activities, on-schedule delivery, budget and cost tracking, safety and safety management, parts procurement and delivery to schedule needs, repair activities and coordination of field and shop support, communications to customers and project update documents
Working Conditions:
- Normal office and power plant environment which requires working in all weather conditions, around rotating equipment and energized equipment, hazardous materials, and chemicals
- Requires operation of a motor vehicle
- Working overtime and non-standard working hours as required
- Requires occasional travel outside service area
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years maintenance planning using SAP or other CMMS, or 10 years Power Plant experience
- Experience using personal computer standard business software including Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Project.
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years Power Plant maintenance experience
- Strong background in Mechanical, Instrumentation and/or Electrical maintenance experience
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of the processes, systems, assets, resources, key personnel, and business functions of the Business Unit
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a team environment
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) at all levels of the organization
- Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals
- Demonstrated sound business skills necessary to accomplish assigned tasks
- Ability to perform as a team member or leader in a cross-functional team environment and achieve consensus decisions
- Ability to read, create and follow written policies and procedures
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Knowledge of estimating techniques
- Ability to understand and use work management systems
- Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations
Physical Requirements:
- Requires wearing personal protective safety equipment (safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, appropriate footwear, ear plugs, etc.)
- Ability to work around rotating and energized equipment, hazardous materials, and chemicals
- Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling. Twisting, climbing stairs and ladders, and entering plant equipment to access, inspect or collect data on plant equipment
Please Note: Salary offered will be commensurate with the successful candidates education and/or experieince and consistent with the job location's market pay rate
