JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Control Engineer (QC Engineer) will work directly with the engineering and OSP teams to help manage the communication flow related to engineering matters between the engineering team, the project management team, the OSP construction team and the member. This will include review and as needed suggest potential revision based on field work. The QC Engineer must possess a solid understanding of the technology and applicable engineering practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and provide feedback for OSP engineering documents
Work with construction and engineering teams to understand quality concerns
Provide well-timed feedback in a calm, professional manner to support learning
Identify training needs for construction and engineering staff and contractors
Track performance KPI’s related to training and help them improve
Provide engineering redlines and inspection reports
Other Duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
3 years of experience working in OSP QC Engineering or related discipline.
Have a strong understanding of OSP engineering standards
Able to identify utilities, potential conflicts, and violations
Experience in CAD or GIS systems is helpful
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain a positive attitude during adverse conversation
Ability to work independently
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
Experience working in OSP engineering or construction
Represent our team to the public and the member in a professional, courteous manner
Able to use electronic devices, such as iPad, iPhone, laptop, file sharing, email, etc
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Quick learner with self-initiative and pride in end results
Superb work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction
