Momentum Manufacturing Group with over 650 employees, is the largest metal fabrication, machining, and powder coating operation of its kind in Northern New England. As one of Northern Vermont’s most important employers, our workforce is the cornerstone of our business. Average tenure exceeds 8 years on all critical functions allowing for essential continuity of the manufacturing processes. The Company currently operates out of eight state-of-the-art facilities in St Johnsbury, Vermont Groveton, NH, Amherst, NH, Franklin, NH, Georgetown, MA and Ipswich, MA totaling over 600,000 sq. ft. The establishment of manufacturing cells for select customers has created many cross functional teams within buildings. Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and Green Belts on staff lead the company in lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.


JOB SUMMARY:

Primary responsibility is providing a wide verity of advanced clerical, accounting, and receptionist support for the accounting department and the front office.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accounting files (physical and electronic).
  • Manage daily accounts receivable and collections.
  • Handle customer matters in a professional manner.
  • Assist with reception and telephone duties.
  • Direct customer and vendor inquiries to the proper departments.
  • Receive, sort and forward incoming mail.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Contribute to team effort by assisting with other projects as needed.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and/or SKILLS:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Business school, associate degree or equivalent is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of related experience is preferred.
  • Basic accounting knowledge.
  • Experience with QuickBooks a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and the Internet.
  • A professional appearance and telephone manner is essential.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work as a team player.
