What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRODUCTION MANAGER I position at NSG Group?
Primary Duties:
- Ensure the safety of all assigned employees through training and enforcement of all federal, state and company safety guidelines. Ensure housekeeping standards are at the highest level.
- Ensure product quality meets or exceeds internal and external customer specifications.
- Ensure all production employees are trained in workforce standardization processes and understand the expectations for successfully performing their jobs.
- Ensure all production standards and targets for thru put, downtime, yield and scrap reduction meet or exceed budgeted levels.
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to ensure matters of mutual concern are addressed and resolved.
- Ensure employees are provided appropriate guidance, counseling, or recognition on matters related to job performance and absenteeism. Maintain constructive and candid relationships by addressing issues in a timely manner.
- Direct and coordinate problem solving activities utilizing the Pilkington 8 step problem solving model.
- Promote awareness and compliance with facility environmental guidelines.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s/University degree in business or technically related field.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to interact with a wide variety of people.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.
- Minimum 3 years experience successfully managing people in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong in results oriented, adaptable, standards driven, developing, influential and informative competencies.

- Six Sigma Black Belt training
