Hotel Security Guard

NSG, Inc. is currently hiring for a 3rd Shift, Hotel Security Guard. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the hotel premises, guests, and staff during the night hours. You will monitor and patrol the hotel premises, respond to emergencies, and enforce hotel security policies and procedures. Your primary objective will be to maintain a safe and secure environment for all occupants of the hotel.

Must be able to work one of the following sets of days/hours:

Monday through Friday from 10:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m. (35 Hours Per Week) ($15.00 per hour)

These positions pay $15.00 per hour with weekly pay every Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Security Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises, including all common areas, guest floors, and parking lots, to detect and prevent any security breaches or unauthorized activities. Monitor security cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems to identify potential threats or suspicious activities.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to all emergency situations, such as fire alarms, medical emergencies, disturbances, or other incidents. Take immediate action to mitigate risks, provide assistance, and alert the necessary authorities as required.
• Guest and Staff Assistance: Provide a visible presence and excellent customer service by assisting guests and staff members with inquiries, directions, and requests. Handle complaints, conflicts, or any other issues in a professional and diplomatic manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and the maintenance of a peaceful environment.
• Access Control: Verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises, ensuring compliance with hotel policies. Monitor and control access to restricted areas, maintaining a secure environment for guests, staff, and hotel property.
• Security Reporting: Document all security-related incidents, accidents, or suspicious activities promptly and accurately. Prepare detailed reports to provide an account of events and assist with investigations if necessary.
• Safety Inspections: Conduct routine inspections to identify and report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security vulnerabilities. Take appropriate measures to address or escalate these concerns, working closely with the hotel management and maintenance team.
• Collaborative Communication: Maintain effective communication with the hotel management, fellow security personnel, and other departments to exchange relevant information and ensure a coordinated response to security-related matters.
• Policy Adherence: Enforce hotel security policies, procedures, and regulations consistently, ensuring compliance from guests, staff members, and vendors. Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations to enhance security measures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Proven experience in a security-related role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting (Preferred not required)
• Knowledge of security practices, procedures, and emergency response protocols.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent observation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Physical fitness and the ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods.
• Proficiency in using security equipment, such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and two-way radios.
