Are you passionate about pediatric healthcare and delivering top-notch patient care? Our pediatric facility in Gretna, LA is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a vital member of our healthcare provider team, you will be responsible for a range of clinical and administrative duties crucial to ensuring the well-being of our young patients.
Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Greet and assist pediatric patients and their families with check-in procedures
- Conduct patient triage and prepare patients for examinations
- Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed
- Assist with various in-office procedures and diagnostic tests
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
- Manage incoming calls and messages, providing essential information and support
- Provide patient education on medication usage, home care, and disease management
- Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program and certification
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric medical assistant experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, medical terminology, and electronic health records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Competitive hourly rate of $18.00 to $23.00
