Seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish Preferred), hands-on, experienced Distribution Center Manager to join our growing team. The Distribution Center Manager is a critical role in the success of starting our new Fort Worth, Texas distribution center. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and will use a systems and process-driven approach to impact the success of the operation. This person will be accountable for people management, service to our customer/distributor partners, safety, and inventory management.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Directs and oversees management of Receiving, Inventory Control, and Shipping operations (including small parcel and LTL/TL freight)

Develop and implement new processes/procedures to improve overall warehouse operations, maintain consistent delivery standards and identify technological advancements that support the growth of the business.

Ensure that all Distribution initiatives have clear business goals and metrics.

Track and drive improvements to Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the DC Operation.

Provide periodic updates on current projects, KPI’s and performance measurements.

Constantly monitors and drives improvements in the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of materials and products with ongoing analysis of logistical problems and producing new solutions.

Oversee relationships between the company Distribution resources and external entities (e.g., facility and equipment maintenance vendors, staffing agencies, etc.).

Collaborate with supervisor and management teams to facilitate improvements

Lead performance reviews and recommend advancements for personnel

Ensure that company programs regarding safety, security, care of equipment, and facility are enforced; thereby guaranteeing OSHA compliance.

Operate within annual budget including, managing schedules including hours of operations, daily assignments, projects, and vacation schedules.

Selects, trains, develops, and maintains appropriate staff to meet daily and future operational goals.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, or a combination of work experience
-
Prior warehouse management experience required (minimum 10 years); ability to lead a large, diverse group of people

Extensive WMS and ERP experience mandatory

Experience working with budgets, P&L statements, and logistics

Experience working with external customers in a flow-through warehouse

Ability to communicate professionally at various organizational levels

Excellent supervisory, leadership, and motivational skills
-
Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, and lifting (50-75 lbs)

Must be comfortable working with or around material handling equipment
-
Exceptional math and analytical skills needed
